Today we drifted on the Sea of Galilee during a (small) storm and imagined Jesus calming the sea and walking on the water.
We visited traditional sites where events took place in Jesus ministry:
• The Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5)
• The feeding of the five thousand (Mark 6)
• The appearance of Jesus after his resurrection while they were fishing and the threefold question “Peter, Do you love me?” (John 21) and
• The transfiguration (Mark 9)
We visited the source of the Jordan River and were reminded of the blessing of rain in a dry land.
Just a reminder of the present – we passed signs warning of land mines and a park with three superseded military tanks presumably for children to climb on.
This is such an exiting trip! I'm so glad you're documenting it for everyone to see.
